Investigations

A personalised approach to testing

Investigations are discussed during your consultation and tailored to you. This includes considering:

Our Approach

At Bespoke Health Clinic, investigations are never one-size-fits-all.

We do not offer fixed testing packages or generic panels. Instead, investigations are recommended selectively, based on your goals, symptoms, medical history, risk factors, and what will genuinely help guide safe and meaningful decisions.

Our role is not simply to arrange tests, but to interpret results in medical context, relate them back to your health priorities, and help you understand what matters, what doesn’t, and what to do next.

How results are reviewed

Results are never sent without explanation.

All investigation results are reviewed during a scheduled consultation, either as part of a further Deep-Dive appointment or within an Ongoing Health Membership. This ensures results are interpreted properly, placed in clinical context, and linked back to your symptoms, priorities, and next steps.

Membership includes regular check-ins to support ongoing interpretation and monitoring where appropriate. Some people prefer ad hoc follow-up. There is no fixed pathway.

  • Your health goals, such as weight management, hormonal health, fertility, longevity, or prevention

  • Your personal and family medical history

  • Current or planned treatments, including hormone therapy or weight-loss medications

  • Timing, reliability, and clinical relevance of tests

  • Practical factors such as location and budget

We guide you through what is appropriate, when it should be done, and how results will be used, so you are never left choosing or interpreting tests alone.

Blood tests and advanced panels
guided by your goals

Blood testing is a core part of our work and is used to support prevention, diagnosis, monitoring, and safe prescribing where appropriate.
We offer access to a wide range of private blood tests beyond what is routinely available in NHS primary care.
Testing is selected based on clinical relevance and your individual goals, rather than fixed panels.

Where appropriate, we can arrange for a qualified phlebotomist to attend your home to carry out venous blood tests, blood pressure, and body measurements.

This may include assessment of:

Heart and metabolic health: To help understand cholesterol balance, inflammation, and longer-term cardiovascular risk, including advanced markers

Diabetes and insulin risk: To assess blood sugar control, insulin resistance, and early risk factors for type 2 diabetes, often before changes appear on routine tests.

Hormonal health: To support assessment of thyroid function, perimenopause, menopause, and andropause, including testosterone, with testing tailored to symptoms and life stage.

Nutritional status: To identify deficiencies or imbalances in key nutrients such as vitamin D, B12, folate, iron, and others that may affect energy, mood, and overall health.

Additional testing may be discussed during consultations, where clinically relevant, including inflammatory, autoimmune, fertility-related, or organ function markers.

Gut, metabolic, and functional testing

For selected individuals, we may discuss additional investigations such as:

Gut and stool testing for symptoms such as IBS or persistent digestive concerns
Helicobacter pylori testing where clinically relevant
Food-related testing where appropriate and evidence-based

These are discussed carefully, with a focus on whether results are likely to meaningfully inform your care.

Wearables and continuous monitoring

We regularly support patients using health technology such as:

Continuous glucose monitors (including CGMs)
Wearables such as rings, watches, and fitness trackers

We help you understand trends, patterns, and behaviours without overwhelming you with data. Results are reviewed in context with your lifestyle, diet, sleep, stress, and health goals.

Imaging and specialist investigations

Where appropriate, we can advise on and help coordinate access to private imaging and investigations, including:

DEXA scans for bone health and body composition
ECGs and cardiovascular assessments
VO₂ max or fitness-related testing

We help interpret these results in context, for example considering muscle mass, bone density, hormonal health, medication use, and long-term risk factors.

Interested in something specific?

If there is a particular test or investigation you are curious about, we are always happy to discuss it during your consultation.
Together, we can decide whether it is appropriate, when it should be done, and how it would inform your care.

Investigations, tests, imaging, and devices are charged separately by third-party providers. We are transparent about this and will discuss costs and value before anything is arranged.
